Service Postponement or Cancellation Authority

The Director of Operations serves as the final decision-maker regarding the postponement or cancellation of services across all Crosspoint campuses.

This decision will be made with consideration of:

  • Safety of attendees, staff, and volunteers
  • Weather conditions and local/state advisories
  • Facility readiness (power, water, access, etc.)
  • Guidance from campus and ministry leadership

While input may be gathered from campus pastors and key leaders, the Director of Operations holds the responsibility to make the final call to ensure a consistent and timely response across all locations.

Once a decision is made, communication will be distributed promptly through approved channels.

If you want to strengthen this further, you could add a decision trigger framework (e.g., “automatic cancellation if state of emergency is declared”) to reduce deliberation time in high-pressure situations. That aligns well with best practices around safety-first decision making in church environments .
