Food Handling Training
Crosspoint Church is committed to providing a safe environment whenever food is prepared, served, or distributed on our campuses.
Any campus that operates a kitchen or regularly prepares food must have, at a minimum:
- One regular volunteer or
- One paid staff member
who holds a current Food Handler certification as required by state and local regulations.
In addition, the individual responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, food service activities, or meal programs should complete a Food Manager certification course. Campus managers and others with direct responsibility for food service are strongly encouraged to attend Food Manager training to help ensure compliance with food safety standards and best practices.
Food safety training helps reduce the risk of foodborne illness and promotes safe food preparation, storage, serving, and cleaning procedures.
If you have questions about food safety requirements, certifications, or training opportunities, contact the Director of Operations.
